Clearing house push set for delay – FT.com
The EU parliament is due to vote n Feb 4th and 7th on a motion to review the ESMA RTS on clearing, story at the FT below (subscription). Meanwhile, if you want to reduce credit line usage, or swap regulatory capital charges (zero weighted at CCPs currently) for IM, use clearing anyway.
The motion, seen by the Financial Times, is calling for reviews of thresholds for clearing, the use of gross notional value of OTC positions to determine thresholds and the use of electronic confirmation.
