D2 Legal Technology

D2LT was founded as an independent, practitioner-led consulting firm in 2011 to satisfy a demand for expert solutions relating to legal documentation data management in the capital markets space. We are a specialist boutique in this field bringing world-class knowledge of documentation technology systems, capital markets legal documentation (such as ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA, OSLA and Prime Brokerage Agreements), risk management, regulation and a wealth of practical change management experience to our client investment banks and asset managers.

We have been at the forefront of advising institutions about the management and treatment of their legal contract data as reference data and we have a privileged view on the state-of-the-art of OTC derivatives legal documentation systems, processes and capabilities across the industry.  While working on several initiatives with our clients, we have developed and refined tools (accelerators) aimed at reducing the projects cost and timescale whilst maximising the re-use of best-practices.  Our areas of expertise include risk management, RWA reduction, collateral optimisation/management, and insuring compliance with the increasingly regulated environment such as Liquidity Reporting, Client Asset & Client Money (CASS) and Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP).

Areas of expertise: Provision of legal subject matter and change expertise with respect to contract data modelling, data management, document generation/assembly, data extraction, search tools, text analytics, classification, digitisation of legal contract portfolios and know-how libraries.

Current state analysis of legal documentation systems and processes, development of target operating models, vendor selection processes, implementation and configuration of vendor products.
Practices: Risk Management, RWA Reduction, Collateral Optimisation and Management, CVA/DVA/FVA (and other Valuation Adjustments), Liquidity Reporting, Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP), Client Asset & Client Money (CASS)
