The revised Wire Transfer Regulation – what it is and why you should take notice of it

The revised Wire Transfer Regulation (AKA Funds Transfer Regulation) is proving to be a challenge for many payment service providers (PSPs) to fully understand and implement.
Failure to implement this regulation properly can impact a PSPs ability to prevent, detect and investigate money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as breaches of financial sanctions.

Arber  Koci - Manager, Financial Advisory

Arber gives regulatory risk advice in relation to all aspects of financial crime.
Arber’s particular focus is AML/CTF and sanctions, having led a number of assessments for a range of financial services institutions. His work has included s.166 Skilled Person reviews, OFAC sanctions retrospective reviews and he has worked closely with a European regulator to help it define its supervisory and enforcement strategy for financial crime.

Joshua Guinea - Assistant Manager, Financial Advisory

Joshua is an Assistant Manager in Deloitte Forensic. Joshua’s experience within financial crime is diverse, including performing end-to-end assessments of a number of bank’s transaction monitoring, CDD and sanctions arrangements. Most recently Joshua performed an assessment of a bank’s compliance with the revised Wire Transfer Regulation.
Joshua has also obtained the ICA Specialist Certificate in Money Laundering Risk in the Betting and Gaming industry and a distinction in the ICA International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering.
