Eventus Systems, the provider of trade surveillance and market risk software, has hired Roger Chandler as Senior Sales Engineer for Europe. Based in London, he is the first European appointment for the firm.

Reporting to Scott Schroeder, Global Head of Sales for Eventus, Roger is responsible for servicing existing clients and developing new relationships. Most recently, he was Technology Sales Manager for Bloomberg, responsible for enterprise technical sales for global multi-asset sell-side clients in EMEA. Previously he spent nearly 11 years at Fidessa, ultimately as Global Account Director where he was responsible for managing major sell-side firms and brokers across asset classes and helping clients adapt to MiFID II.

"Roger has an outstanding mix of technical expertise, management and sales experience, and in-depth knowledge of the asset classes we cover,” said Scott Schroeder. “He understands our clients' businesses as well as the critical role we can play for firms grappling with regulatory regimes such as MiFID II and our ability to provide robust, efficient solutions.”

Last month, Eventus announced completion of a US$10.5 million Series A funding round enabling it to grow its staff globally, along with enhancing its technology and fuelling further growth. This is the third key hire since that announcement, with Eric Einfalt joining as Chief Strategy Officer and David Mitchell as Regional Sales Executive, North America, both based in Chicago.
