The derivatives market & regulatory change

Ensuring compliance and taking advantage of the opportunities arising

Monday 23rd & Tuesday 24th November 2015: Stockholm, Sweden

It has been six years since the G20 summit in Pittsburg and the European regulations are finally starting to “bite” affecting many Nordic institutions in 2016. By November this year, it is expected that there will be full clarity on the regulations covering both cleared and uncleared derivatives, so this is the ideal time to gain the “toolkit” necessary to embark upon a plan of action for 2016.

Speakers will include:

  • ANNA IVERSEN: Director and Co-Founder, Alliance of Consulting Experts
  • BEÁTA DUNN: Director and Co-Founder, Alliance of Consulting Experts
  • GIUSEPPE INSALACO: Senior Advisor, Central Bank of Ireland
  • JOHN LUND: Director, JXL Consulting, Member of the Alliance of Consulting Experts

Day 1 will cover the following topics:

  • What is the current regulatory environment?
  • What is the current status of the CCP offering (cleared derivatives)?
  • What is the latest on uncleared derivatives?
  • What is the current legal framework and environment?

Day 2 will cover the following topics:

  • What is the cost of derivatives and how will this change business strategy going forward (business impact)?
  • Specific Nordic considerations
  • What is the future of the CCP model and Clearing Brokers?
  • What is the impact on collateral management and what solutions/techniques exist?
  • The art of crystal ball gazing
  • Action plan and next steps

The conference will be held at the City Conference Centre in Stockholm, which is the largest centrally-located meeting venue in Scandinavia. To find out more, download the attached PDF and complete the form below to register your interest.
