An analysis was carried out of a ten year Euro asset swap trade i.e. Eurex Bund Futures versus Ten Year Payer Euro IRS, comparing the cost of clearing in terms of initial margin requirements and default fund contributions to clearing the products on two separate CCPs to clearing both products on Eurex Clearing and the analysis showed a 69% reduction in cost of clearing both products on Eurex Clearing:
