At the beginning of January it is customary for seasoned professionals (and other brave souls) to gaze into the crystal ball and share their predictions for the coming year. They are usually general enough to allow for some wiggle room, but are helpful nontheless for understanding the challenges facing market participants in the year ahead.
I have compiled a select list of 2015 predictions as they relate to markets and regulation:
- Kevin McPartland from Greenwich Associates: 15 for '15: Top Trends to Watch in 2015
- Larry Tabb of TABB Group: Peering Into the Future (registration required)
- Davis Polk (via the Financial Times): Regulatory Predictions for 2015 (subscription required)
- Markit Magazine, 2015 Predictions (includes contributions from ISDA CEO Scott O'Malia and Streetwise Professor Craig Pirrong)
